Post Graduate Planning

ACE Juniors and Seniors meet with the ACE Guidance Counselor for postgraduate planning seminars during the second half of their Junior year and the first half of their Senior year.  During these seminars, they learn how to use Naviance to arrive at a list of colleges and/or post-grad programs to apply to.  The ACE guidance counselor is also available to meet with parents and students to better understand the post grade process and all the options available.  Every fall, ACE helps to sponsor a night for parents to get assistance in filling out the FAFSA forms.

Although students are assessed by earning levels of competencies in their ACE classes, these are converted to letter grades on a student's transcript for college.  For example, a "Highly Competent" translates into an A, a "Competent" translates into a B, and a "Basic Competent" translates into a C.  If a student does not earn a "Basic Competent" in a course, they must retake the course.  The course will not show up on their transcript until they earn at least a "Basic Competent" or higher.
